Benjamin Fabio Cavagna
Benjamin Fabio Cavagna was born in a small town between Milano and Verona, called Lumezzane. During his studies of philosophy in Milan, he became passionate about the world of whiskies and spirits, of which he is a collector. During that period of time he approached the bar’s world and worked as a bartender. In 2014, he met Flavio Angiolillo, now a friend and business partner, and started working at 1930 Cocktail Bar, where he is now bar manager. Benjamin loves experimenting in the company’s laboratory, trying new techniques and tasting new flavours, to propose in seminars during the trips that he, and the rest of the partners, undertake to get to know new places, collaborations and discover new horizons.
Matias Barrueco Caceres
Matias was born in 1995 in Argentina; since he was a child, he fuelled his passion for the world of hospitality in his family’s restaurant in Buenos Aires and, despite his different course of study, he then decided to cultivate it until it became his job.
Matias loves playing and experimenting with fresh ingredients to create new cocktails and flavours in order welcome and serve guests in the best possible way.
He is always looking to improve in every way – but never forgets to do it with a smile.
1930 Cocktail Bar is the most famous secret private club in Italy. The 1930 is about absolute elegance, velleity and fashion, a place with mysterious charm, where its members, experts in the field and fans of high blending, can relax, enjoying a good drink while reading a book or listening to great live music.
The speakeasy, with its retro atmosphere, is an elegant place inspired by the prohibition era, the so-called roaring twenties. Attention is paid to every detail with velvet armchairs, every nook and cranny is a private sitting room, furnished with abat-jours, cabinets, chest of drawers, gramophones, a piano and a wooden bar that reigns over the scene.
The 1930 Cocktail Bar offers an excellent range of whiskies, and its drink list changes on a seasonal cycle, offering cocktails that are always cutting-edge, sophisticatedly designed and creatively served up. Few people know where it’s located, and yet it is world-renowned. As is the tradition of speakeasies, the address is known only by a select few: to gain access, it is necessary to build a friendship with the Farmily Group, a friendship that must be cherished and nurtured through time. Only at that point can the client have access to the most exclusive venue in Milan.

Tora – Master Class – 12th July 6.30pm – 8pm
This event is open to mixology enthusiasts keen on delving deeper into the art, all while enjoying a hands-on mixology session led by globally acclaimed mixologists.
Starting with an introduction and discussion of the history and philosophy of the craft, this will then lead the way to a live demonstration of crafting some of the world’s best cocktails that ranked 1930 #42 on The World’s 50 Best Bars.
A tasting will follow suit along with a Q&A session.
Manta – Bar Takeover – 13th July – 7pm – Onwards
Bartenders from 1930, Milan shall be taking over the Manta main bar, serving and delighting guests with a curated selection of their renowned signature cocktails.
Free entry – Drinks will be served on an à la carte basis.
Cocktail Ticket entitles guest to 3 cocktails at the bar.
Guests are encouraged to book their spot to avoid disappointment.
